Where is My Website?
So, you finally have a website, but you
can't find it in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page).
Having a website and navigating it through the search
engines feels a bit like sailing. You are going to find that
you have to look after it and make it work for you. In time,
if you cannot find your website on the search engines, you
are going to have to seek advice from someone who at least
understands how websites are indexed.
You may wonder where you should go. There
are many web designers who understand SEO techniques, but
you will find that not all web designers are savy to this
type of information.
If you do not know how to write code and
make your own website and neither can your web designer do
this for you, it may be time that you find someone who can.
How do you check to see if your website is
indexed? One way to do it is to pretend like you are a
customer looking for the products or services you sell. If
you cannot find your website through the same way that you
expect your customers to find you - something is wrong.
Websites take time to season, but after awhile (or within a
few months), you should expect to see results.
